History of Brazi Cultural House
During the period of intense patriotic effervescence, after the First World War and the Great Union, many initiatives were launched in the cultural field, which were to make national education and enrich the level of knowledge of the villagers, because it is considered a man trained is much more useful to the community than one with the knowledge remaining at the level of the knee. Successive campaigns have gone over time to plead for the establishment of cultural homes in rural areas. In Brazi, especially in the villages of Băteşti and Brazii de Jos, but also in Negoieşti and Popeşti, the school began to manifest itself as the main supplier of culture. But school space has been the pre-eminent place where topics of medical education and general culture have been approached, and moral and behavioral values worthy of being followed. On the other hand, it is left to the elderly to meet and advise on matters of public utility. The school and then the cultural home were indeed places where such problems could be debated. But also in the streets or at the gates of the houses, where two or three households met, asking for their opinion on the work they had begun, or had something to begin with, advising each other whether it was good or not. In the latter days, in the face of ever-increasing needs, these people have gone to the initiation of real conferences, at the cultural home, at school or at the mayor’s office. Along with the communal authorities, there were and are people of various categories, who consider it appropriate to consult in the great problems of time. In the past, these public meetings or conferences were attended, sometimes by the network’s forerunner, the doctor, and sometimes the prefect of the county. When clumps of clumps went to the house, coming from these conferences, they could read on their oblique face the soul’s satisfaction to fight fiercely in confronting the hardships of life. Public opinion thus became a collective assumption that could have the strength of bronze.
